Job Summary
Our Ireland Project Management business unit continues to grow to service both Public and Private sector clients where we have successfully secured positions with many high-profile clients and some of the largest projects and programmes in the industry. As a direct result of this growth, we are seeking a full-time Project Manager to be a key member of the project management team in order to continue to build and develop on recent successes and growth.
Job Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will be expected to;
Work with another member of the project management team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.
Act as the key day to day client interface ensuring that client objectives are met.
Lead project management commissions taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery
Liaise directly with clients, oversee project management team members with their duties
Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time
Planning, directing and supervising all operations included in moderately sized projects with moderate risk, complexity and financial impact
Have a passion for first-class service delivery, implementing best practice and continuous improvement and promoting AECOM externally.
Build on our portfolio of major blue-chip clients and high-profile projects
Supporting the development of a proposal for new work
Be specifically responsible for delegated business development/marketing objectives
Contribute to the overall operational running of the AECOM project management team
Minimum Requirements
Related degree or Masters – ideally Project Management / Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying
Enthusiastic self-starter looking to progress their career
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects.
Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion.
Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or with a client organisation.
Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.
Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Post Graduate Qualification – ideally Project Management / Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying related
In the process of pursuing Chartered Status with either of the following institutions; SCSI/RICS / CIOB / RIBA / EI
APM affiliation is a benefit
