AECOM LVIA Landscape Architect in Dublin, Ireland

Job Summary

AECOM is a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy and we are seeking a Landscape Architect to be based in Ireland who is able and happy to visit Dublin for on occasion when not working remotely. You will responsible for the preparation of Landscape & Visual Impact Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) throughout Ireland so a driving licence is a must.

We have a number of large scale LVIA which require regular attention, you will be kept busy with a constant flow of work which involves travel, consulting and detailed report writing.

We are looking for a non-chartered Landscape Architect to take on this position as we are well positioned to help you develop and reach your chartered status. We are also happy to consider anyone who is qualified as a landscape Architect in either Ireland or the UK as long as you are looking to be based in Ireland on a full-time basis.

About Our Team

Our UK and Ireland Landscape Architecture studio supports AECOM’s diverse portfolio of projects relating to towns and cityscapes and also environmental and infrastructure. We have embraced the rapidly changing working environment and currently work remotely as a team which means that you can be based anywhere in Ireland if you can get to Dublin for the occasional client presentation or internal meeting.

We are a highly valued piece of the multidisciplinary offering of AECOM, this means that our projects stretch across Ireland and the UK as well as the rest of the world.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR) and standalone statements to accompany planning applications for various types and scales of projects.

  • Carrying out site visits, fieldwork and photography to inform LVIAs.

  • Preparation of Landscape Plans, supporting graphics/mapping and assistance with photomontages.

  • Consultation and stakeholder management.

Minimum Requirements

  • A third-level qualification in Landscape Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field.

  • Established experience in fulfilling similar functions or in a similar role or consultancy.

  • A sound understanding and experience of the ROI Planning Process and the Landscape and Visual requirements needed to address specific large-scale development applications.

  • Good working knowledge of CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills and attention to detail.

  • A confident and creative approach to the assessment process.

  • A collaborative and flexible approach to the role with ambition to excel and grow within the company.

  • Driving licence.

  • Working to achieve professional membership of the Irish Landscape Institute/Landscape Institute.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning.

  • An ILFA recognised Degree/Masters in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Planning
