Our Belfast Cost Management Business Unit continues to grow, with a specific growth demand within the Infrastructure sector (Water, Power, Highways, Environment) where we have successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and some key local projects and programs in the industry.
As a direct result of this growth, we are currently seeking a full time Associate Director Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor based in Belfast to support in our business growth.
You will be part of an exciting new team supporting us to successfully manage and deliver various capital projects across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and the wider global AECOM.
The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. The role will include management of programmes, of all aspects of cost control / audit procedures, preparation estimates & tender documentation through the feasibility, design and procurement processes and onto the site delivery / commissioning phase.
Experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Sectors highlighted above from inception to completion.
Cost Management experience in the Water Sector would be a specific requirement.
You should possess the skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff.
You will help develop collaborative relationships with our clients and other professional colleagues within the industry.
Ability to develop long term relationships with alongside management of team members, and effectively balance people and processes.
Day to day client point of contact for projects and programmes.
Successful delivery of projects & programmes leading to further repeat clients and their business.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
Understands and can demonstrate the importance of Client focus.
Good understanding of contracts with particular emphasis on the NEC suite of contracts.
Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or within a client organisation would be preferable.
Clean driving licence and car ownership
Good understanding of project Governance audit and procurement processes.
