AECOM is currently seeking a talented Senior Construction Manager for a potential four-year water/wastewater program located in Beirut, Lebanon. Relocation to Beirut, Lebanon is required. The Senior Construction Manager (Sr. CM) will direct and coordinate the ongoing activities of field construction managers, oversee quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC), manage and coordinate the flow of information, control costs, manage and control the schedule, implement and monitor the safety programs, and verify that the completed work is constructed to a quality level consistent with the requirements of the construction documents. The Sr. CM works directly for the A&E Manager / Deputy Chief of Party supporting the delivery of water and wastewater projects.
Responsible for supervision of construction activities as they relate to contract administration and management of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Supervises and directs construction field supervisors on multiple projects and enforces company and project policies
Review trade contracts and bid packages, as well as oversee procurement process
Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications and company standards
Assist with preconstruction efforts and identify high risk activities
Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with GC and Consultant team
Maintain relationships with internal Partners, designers and consultants and the GC team
Responsible to establish a culture of safe work performance.
Set-up QA/QC and Risk Mitigation Plan procedures and manage compliance by construction field supervisors
Continually update the Safe Work Plan as project conditions or project environment changes
Maintain safety related paperwork, including OSHA 300 logs and safety training certifications, such as OSHA OTI
BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Experience in the water / wastewater construction sector.
Experience with QA/QC, safety, health and environment protocols
BA/BS + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Construction management experience with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, U.S. Agency for International Development, or Millennium Challenge Corporation overseas
Experience working in the Middle East
Arabic language skills ideal, but not necessary
