AECOM Community Planner in Doha, Qatar

Qatar - Al Udeid, Doha

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Community Planner for an anticipated position supporting a construction effort in the country of Qatar. The candidate will manage personal property transfers, establish/refine procedures for all phases of personal property management including receipt, control, disbursement, and sale of property, oversee warehouse operations, develop and implement an equipment management information system, and establish an inspection, maintenance and repair capability for stored or leased equipment. The work location for this position is on the Al Udeid Air Base (AUAB) in Qatar.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in community planning or related field such as urban affairs, architecture, or engineering and experience in the community planning field.

  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office and database management software. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Must have USAF Airfield Waiver Obstruction Tool (AWOT) experience and able to manage the accountability and the enforcement of all airfield waivers and obstructions.

  • Must be able to manage the accountability and assist in the enforcement of all airfield waivers and obstructions

  • Must be able to coordinate reduction of airfield obstructions IAW the USAFCENT Airfield Obstruction Reduction Initiative.

  • Must be to implement and maintain an effective AWOT program, ensure that airfield waivers and obstructions are accurately accounted for and up to date in USAFCENT’s AWOT and routinely provide proper updates and reports to USAFCENT as required

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Due to nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Community planning or general planning experience for DoD installations is preferred.

  • Familiar with Government Real Property regulations to include, but not limited to the following;

  • UFC 1-300-08, Criteria for Transfer and Acceptance of DoD Real Property, AFPD 32-90, Real Property Asset Management, AFI32-9001, Acquisition of Real Property, AFI32-9002, Disposal of Real Property, AFI32-9005, Real Property Accountability and Reporting, AFI32-1001, Operations Management, Real Property Categorization System (RPCS)

  • USAF Real Property experience is preferred.

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
