Position Title Water / Wastewater Infrastructure Lead

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Lead to work in our Detroit, Michigan office. The candidate will work with our Detroit and Midwest team on current infrastructure planning and assessment projects and support development of new projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Infrastructure Planning and Asset Management for both water and wastewater systems

  • Condition assessment and infrastructure performance assessment of water and wastewater linear infrastructure systems and wastewater pumping stations

  • Database and Systems Integration including familiarity with geodatabases, ArcGIS Collector, InfoNET, data secutrity and data replication processes

  • Hydraulic Modeling in both water and wastewater systems (ideally InfoWater and Infoworks ICM) – especially large city-scale implementations, systems integration

  • Monitoring and management of Field data collection including CCTV, Panoramo, flow monitoring (water and wastewater), hydrant flow and c-factor testing, leak detection and GPS data collection and SCADA system integration including the development of technical specifications, contract procurement and processing of payments, management of field inspectors and record drawing development

  • Management of task specific scope and budget to achieve project deliverables

  • Mentoring and supervising staff to accomplish tasks and deliverables on schedule

  • Client development and interactions on direct projects and pursuit of new work

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years of engineering experience focused on assessment of water and wastewater underground infrastructure

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

  • Hydrology, hydraulic and water quality design and modeling experience

  • Database and GIS experience

  • Strong communication skills and team leader

  • Experienced using hydraulic modeling software: InfoWater and Infoworks ICM

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years' experience preferred
