Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Landscape Architect based out of our Denver, Colorado office. The Lead Landscape Architect understands the strategic importance of integrated project delivery, while also being proficient at producing technically proficient landscape architecture deliverables in support of our architecture, transportation, and recreation projects. This person will serve as an integrated teammate in active interdisciplinary projects, while also being an office champion for placemaking and landscape architecture. The successful candidate will be a critical member across our team comprised of Architectural, Structural, MEP and Landscape disciplines, to promote best practices and elevate the team’s design and documentation offering.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of programmatic requirements

  • Develops solutions for a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity

  • Assist and/or lead project teams in landscape architecture

  • Develop project scope and fee to assist in interdisciplinary proposals

  • Perform quality review for conformance to industry standards

  • Design and carry forth documentation of both softscape (planting) and hardscape systems.

  • Lead coordination of interdisciplinary consultants to execute the design of outdoor systems, installations, and features.

  • Support project standards coordination with customers

  • Apply expertise and guidance actively while engaged in design project delivery

  • Serve as point of contact and reviewer for landscape architectural scope items during construction administration services

  • Can self-perform work, needing minimal direction / supervision

  • Able to mentor and coordinate work of a small team to support the production of deliverables.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Licensed Landscape Architect, CLARB Certified

  • Driver’s License

  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of landscape architecture experience in the A/E/C industry

  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proven prior experience with interdisciplinary project delivery using Revit

  • Experience performing construction administration

  • Proven ability to manage multiple project efforts and multiple deadlines

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and engaging in the design process

  • Enjoy mentoring and teaching a team with various levels of experience

  • Experience with advanced visualization programs and software tools like: Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, and various visualization tools
