The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Planning, implementing, and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs including assigning laboratory testing with assistance.
Performing material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses for tailings dams.
Preparing geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications for tailings dam projects.
Preparing and presenting technical presentations to internal project team
Conduct field observations and site visits.
- BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or AA/AS (US) + 4 years of relevant experience or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 4 years of relevant experience or HS/GED + 6 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
2+ years of experience in Civil/Geotechnical engineering field
Engineer in Training Certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility
Must be a resourceful, highly organized professional with attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Effective time-management and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Occasional travel to project sites, both local and remote

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The midpoint of the salary range is $84,480.98. annually
