AECOM Estimator II - Junior Estimator (Remote) in Denver, Colorado

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Junior Level Estimator/Remote for employment. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive. In this role, entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM’s Graduate Development Program (GDP), a 2-year development experience designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.

In this role, you will be a member of our highly reputable Cost Management & Estimating team. The cost team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of Conceptual Estimating, Budget Development, Cost Planning, Feasibility Studies, Value Management, Economic Forecasting, Milestone Reports, Pre/Post Contract Auditing, Change Order Review/Reconciliation, LEED Cost Analysis, Life Cycle Costing, and more.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide analysis on projects

  • Execute work plans and task definition, participate in data collection

  • Participate in development of solutions to client problems with a focus on financial analysis and capital investment

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Apply unit costs and productivity rates, as provided by supervisor

  • Solicit and collect subcontractor and vendor bids or quotations

  • Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships

  • Prepare subcontractor analysis sheets for assigned scope of work

  • Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates

  • Provide expertise in all phases of construction work

  • Work and collaborate with team members throughout the country for specific project sector needs

  • Speak and meet with clients providing outstanding consultative services

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required (Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying or similar)

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Two (2) years of work experience in related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Area of study in construction, financial or mathematics area desirable

  • Desire to obtain professional accreditation (RICS, PMP, AACEI or similar)

  • Previous estimating and cost management experience

Additional Information

  • Relocation is not available for this position

  • There is no overtime associated with this role

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Offered rate of compensation ( Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 annual.
