Job Summary
AECOM's Orlando transportation office is seeking a creative, highly talented, and experienced civil engineer specialized in roadway design for immediate employment at our client site located in Deland, FL.
This roadway design engineer will be in a client-facing role involved in providing QA/QC reviews and Project Management assistance of complex interstate highway design projects. The ideal candidate will have sufficient project experience designing transportation capacity and rehabilitation improvements.
Selected candidate will join a dynamic team of professionals directly interacting with a key regional client. Key tasks include but are not limited to:
Production of construction plans/specs/estimate packages
Design technical assistance
Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Project management
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering + 6 years of related experience
Professional Engineer (PE) License registered in Florida + 5 years of post-certification experience
Experience with transportation roadway design and construction
Proficient with CADD – Microstation, Geopak and/or Inroads
Technical Skills – Roadway design with production skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
PM certification a plus
Client relationship experience
Prior experience with FDOT major transportation interstate projects highly preferred
Knowledge of FDOT roadway criteria, polices, and procedures highly preferred
Team-Oriented individual; must be able to work with a large diverse group of engineers and designers
