AECOM Senior State Tax Analyst in Dallas, Texas

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior State Tax Analyst to support our Corporate Tax team based in Dallas, Texas. Our Tax Department consists of tax professionals who manage our tax risk in over 150 countries throughout the world.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparation of state corporation income tax separate and combined/unitary tax returns using Corptax compliance software

  • Prepare and maintain detailed workpapers supporting state corporate income tax returns

  • Preparation of the state corporate quarterly income tax estimates

  • Preparation of the state corporate income tax extensions

  • E-file state corporate income tax returns using Corptax compliance software

  • Assist with quarterly and year-end tax provision, state credits, NOLs, ETR, RTP, etc.

  • Assist in the gathering of state apportionment data from business units and reconciling to the general ledger

  • Perform research of state tax issues and special projects

  • Assist with corporate state tax audits; developing audit ready files to support current year tax returns

  • Resolve state corporate income tax notices from various jurisdictions

  • Assist with maintaining tax calendar and tracking of tax inquiries.

  • Assist with other areas of the Tax Department

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant tax experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Corptax software.

  • Multi-state income tax experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to work collaboratively through asking questions and finding solutions.

  • Adaptable and able to multi-task.
