Job Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Tax Operations will be responsible for:

  • Review and oversight of corporate tax compliance including managing co-source compliance relationship, consolidation and review of federal return, review of state returns and partnership filings.

  • Review and approve federal and state estimated tax and extension payments.

  • Successfully meet all tax return deadlines.

  • Develop audit ready files to support current year returns and provide tax controversy assistance as needed.

  • Proactively identify, recommend and implement process and tax systems improvements.

  • Manage a team of both tax managers and outside consultants during tax filing season

  • Assist with the quarter and year-end tax provision process

  • Work on special tax projects such as M&A transactions, integrations and reorganizations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in accounting or related degree.

  • 9+ years of combined large-scale, complex tax experience with a public accounting firm and a multi-national public company.

  • Strong knowledge and proven capabilities in the area of corporate tax compliance for a large multi-national public company.

  • Working knowledge of accounting for income taxes (ASC740).

  • Experience with partnership taxation is desired.

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities.

  • Strong technical/analytical skills to identify and solve problems.

  • Willingness to work collaboratively by incorporating diverse perspectives and appropriately managing relationships in order to strengthen decision-making.

  • Experience with tax software such as CorpTax compliance and OneSource Tax Provision.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred.
