The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing aviation planning studies

  • Business development activities ranging from sourcing leads, responding to client requests and solicitations, presentations, and client management

  • Leading aviation planning tasks and project teams

  • Team leader responsible for managing direct reports comprised of other aviators

  • Providing technical leadership to junior staff

  • Proposing and developing plans for improving efficiency

  • May work on airport master plans, airport layout plans and associated drawings, feasibility studies, geometry studies, land use planning studies, airspace analysis, and public involvement and outreach activities

Minimum Requirements

  • 15+ years relevant experience

  • In-depth knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars and Orders, guidelines and regulations

  • Fluent developing Airport Master Plans and the Master Plan process

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced team environment

  • Ability to manage tasks and lead technical staff

  • Proven track record finding and winning work

  • Team leadership of direct reports

  • Ability to manage geographically diverse project teams

  • Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities, deadlines, and structure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related field

  • USDOT pilot certificate or flight experience
