Job Description

AECOM Hunt has multiple positions available for Construction Interns to support project site opportunities based in the following locations:

Austin, TX and Dallas, TX.

These positions are expected to begin in Spring or Summer 2024

The responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.

  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.

  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Internships available in the following areas: project management, superintendent, VDC, estimating, and scheduling.

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a 4-year college or university and seeking either a bachelor’s or master’s degree majoring in construction management, building technology, civil engineering or similar major.

  • Must have completed 1 year of study.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion.

  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • Willing to work on a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Prior construction internship experience

Additional Information

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
