AECOM Systems Engineer – DDG 1000 in Dahlgren, Virginia

The candidate will perform Systems Engineering tasking including, but not limited to the DDG 1000 project. The candidate will provide a broad range of systems engineering activities to support NSWCDD Humans Systems Integration (HSI) Branch in analysis of Software Change Requests and Software Trouble Reports for DDG 1000 program and provide detailed explanation of operational impact to the operator based on analysis. Other duties include requirements development, requirements review, review of pre-test predictions, and analysis of combat system test results, participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and various Integrated Product teams (IPTs). The selected candidate will review technical artifacts including concept white papers, technical reports, requirements documents, specifications, change requests, design review packages and conduct analysis, assessments and reporting necessary to provide complete packages sufficient to support the development, maintenance, upgrading, and fielding efforts. The candidate is expected to complete all other job related tasks as requested or assigned.
Associates degree and at least 10 years of job-related experience. 14 years of job related work experience is required in lieu of degree.
Ability to articulate technical issues in a clear, concise, and understandable manner in verbal and written formats, work productively in team environments, meet deadlines, and perform multiple tasks in parallel.
Requires the ability to maintain an active Secret level security clearance.
Position may require travel.
Working experience as a former senior enlisted or surface warfare officer with combat systems experience.
Working experience with combat systems, displays, weapon systems, and tactical data links.
Working experience in developing requirements, functional allocations, and allocated baselines.
Working experience with developing interface requirement specification and description documentation.
Working experience with test planning, test engineering, and analysis of test results.
Working knowledge of requirements database management tools, e.g. DOORS.
