Job Summary

The candidate will perform Test and Evaluation (T&E) planning, test event execution, and data analysis. The position will support Verification and Validation (V&V) events involving surface Navy Combat Systems in multiple sites. In addition, candidate will contribute to Land Based Test Site design and planning, including developing processes for Certification of the sites for Navy testing of Navigation systems. Participate in developing rigorous systems engineering processes to support Navigation testing and certification support. Must perform a range of design, development, analysis, and review tasks independently and with a team. Act as lead on complex tasks and responsible for design, analyses, or design reviews. Duties include a variety of engineering assignments in requirements analysis and tracing to test artifacts and the test environment, planning and executing test development, test execution, test witness, trouble-shooting, data analysis, and analysis results reporting. As member of an analysis/ review team, responsible for preparing test plans, procedures, SIM/STIM scenarios, and reports to document and execute test activities and analyze results of each test, and prepare briefing material to summarize test efforts and results in support of review panels. Will participate in assigned Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Must be available to support test events, occasionally on 3rd shift and be able to travel occasionally.

Minimum Requirements

  • The successful candidate shall have ten (10) years of general Navy tactical networking experience, including (7) years of Combat System Test and Evaluation related experience. Applicable examples of tactical, training and simulations systems may include Aegis, Aegis BMD, SSDS, E-2D,

  • Shall have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Will have field experience with:

Naval Combat Systems

Test and Evaluation processes and procedures

Naval operations

Navigation systems, elements & interfaces

Working knowledge of Simulation/Stimulation software application programs.

  • Excellent communications and analytical skills;

  • Individual must have a Secret Clearance .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military Operational experience with Navigation related tactical environments

  • Experience working testing with Land Based Test Sites and/or on ships

  • Bachelor’s degree or more in a related field.

  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

  • Position may require travel
