Job Summary

Develop, build, verify, and integrate Software applications for Navy or USMC radar systems. Will work with Navy officials or senior engineers, and be responsible for contributing to the development of software applications, specifications, design requirements, test requirements, data reduction tools, and data analysis. Duties include maintaining software configurations, integrating software with embedded tactical system, and supporting radar test and integration activities. Supporting installation and troubleshooting at Navy test sites and onboard ships may be required. Specific work assignments will depend on the specific applicant skill set and may include: creating and compiling software source code into executable images, developing analysis tools to fulfill specifications and functional requirements, reducing raw data files into text or graphic formats, verifying that software applications and/or analysis tools function properly, and following software CMM processes to maintain product quality and integrity. Assignments may be for AN/SPY-1 Radar, Dual Band Radar, Advanced Missile Defense Radar, Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar, Affordable Common Radar Architecture, or other Navy/USMC radar development programs.

Minimum Requirements

Must have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Math discipline from an accredited university. At least 5 years’ experience in software development for user applications. Can substitute some experience with a Master’s or Doctorate’s Degree. The position requires experience in developing software applications for data capture, data manipulation, data displays, and/or integration with embedded tactical systems. Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation, and good communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required. Excellent communications and analytical skills required. Position may require travel. Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

The individual needs to be proficient using Software Development Environment/Kits and programming in C++, JAVA and other languages. Experience with RedHat Linux is desired.
