Job Summary

The Combat Systems and Weapon Systems Engineer will perform Systems Engineering tasking in support of the Track Management organization including, but not limited to the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) project. The selected candidate will provide a broad range of systems engineering activities to include requirements development, requirements review, review of pre-test predictions, and analysis of combat system test results, perform studies and participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and various Integrated Product teams (IPTs). The candidate will review technical artifacts including concept white papers, technical reports, requirements documents, specifications, change requests, design review packages and conduct analysis, assessments and reporting necessary to provide complete packages sufficient to support the CEC development, upgrading, and fielding efforts. The selected candidate will be asked to complete all other job related tasks as requested or assigned.

Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor degree in Engineering (BSEE, BSCS) or a related technical discipline and 10 years of relevant track management work experience are required. 5 years of specialized experience in one or more track management programs including Command and Control (C2) Elements, Subsystems, Systems and Capabilities. The work requires the ability to articulate complex technical issues in a clear, concise, understandable manner in verbal and written formats, work productively in team environments, meet deadlines, and perform multiple tasks in parallel. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance is required. Position may require travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience with C2 interfacing systems, such as sensor systems, track management systems

  • electronic warfare, self-defense systems, displays, weapon systems and tactical data links

  • Working experience in developing requirements, functional allocations, and allocated baselines

  • Working experience with developing interface requirement specification and description documentation

  • Working experience with combat system test planning and analysis

  • Working knowledge of requirements database management tools, e.g. DOORS
