AECOM's Ground, Energy and Transactions Business are looking for a Ground Engineering Lead to join the team.
The Lead will play a key role and have responsibility to:
Instill a sense of identify to the UK&I practice and consistency in delivery
Be visible in the ground engineering community and represent the AECOM brand as a thought leader
Define the Ground Engineering agenda and approach for driving net zero into infrastructure
Create an inclusive group of senior Ground Engineers in UK&I
Drive the Ground Engineering digital strategy
Provide technical and management leadership to the Ground Engineering Team
The Lead will play a key role and have responsibility to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
To Initiate and maintains extensive contacts with senior- level scientists within the company and with key science officials of other organizations and companies
be persuasive and negotiate critical issues
At this level, individuals will have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature scientific judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual problems, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse scientific activities.
Analyzes and manages complex and difficult organizational challenges
Conceives, plans and conducts consultation in areas of considerable scope and complexity
Directs and leads strategy to address very complex technical projects
Plans and develops segments of projects with unique or controversial problems that require development of novel concepts and approaches
Applies senior level of expertise, knowledge and judgement
Senior technical lead for technically complex and unique projects
Drives innovation within region or business unit to deliver technical and operational excellence and marketplace differentiation
Plans and leads customer technical engagement activities including client technical trainings and workshops
Externally recognized as a national expert in one or more elements of technical discipline
Engages with project technical teams within field of expertise to confirm project approach and review deliverables
Regularly reviews/audits projects to confirm appropriate technical quality activities are implemented to prevent rework and legal claims
Performs independent expert reviews of high risk project(C0/C1) proposals and deliverables
Accountable to achieve annual/quarterly results against targets
Develops technical services/products to meet market needs or processes to improve project technical execution
Broad latitude in making decisions guided by organizational strategy
Receives guidance and direction from senior members of leadership
Trains, mentors, motivates, and evaluates less experienced staff
Recruits and helps retain staff at all levels
Delivers effective management communication and directs active communication engagement by subordinates
Contributes by driving the success of a large business segment, technical discipline or client program
Contributes by advancing their area of the business in light of industry and market trends and delivering improved results
Develop proposed budgets and resource plans or investment strategies to grow new capabilities
Collaborates with client and business managers to promote technical services
Demonstrates leadership attributes that help drive the success of the business
Advises national business managers on growth, staff recruitment and retention, and technical excellence strategies
Leads teams to develop multi-disciplinary technical strategy for large and complex proposals
Demonstrates leadership attributes that provide a role model for others
