AECOM Global Mobility Analyst in Croydon, United Kingdom
AECOM is currently embarking on a Global Mobility Transformation to create a world-class mobility function and is looking for a Global Mobility Analyst – Europe/International. You will work closely with our Global Mobility Manager(s) – Europe/International, as well as our larger global mobility team that sits throughout the world as we define our future strategy for Global Mobility and develop global policies and processes to make us fit for the future and beyond as we transform from an operations focused function to a strategic business partner, focused on the future mobility of talent at AECOM. This will be a primarily a remote/virtual position that will be based in UK or Ireland. This role will sit within the newly created global Global Mobility Centre of Excellence.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to use your knowledge, experience and creativity to work with our businesses across the Europe/International regions in creating solutions to cross border mobile workforce issues and the mobilization of talent, whilst ensuring compliance with global tax, social security, immigration and Posted Workers Directive legislations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing advice to both the business and HR on all aspects of global relocation matters for the Europe/International region
Partnering with the business to provide responsive and time critical advice and guidance in respect of new overseas bids
Provide feedback and best practices solutions related to current policies and processes
Being a point of contact for vendors - including relocation, tax service and immigration service providers
Consult with stakeholders at all levels in the business, on complex immigration matters
Support the regional GM Managers when required
Provide monthly/quarterly/ad hoc reporting to HR leadership, the wider Global Mobility team and other stakeholders as necessary
The operating model for GM is changing, with the day to day operational activity largely being undertaken by the GM operations team. However, key to the success of the assignee experience is the smooth implementation at the earlier stages of the assignment lifecycle and thus your input may be required from time-to-time in some operational tasks e.g. running a cost estimate and in the event of any urgent requests.
Supporting the wider Global Mobility team with cross border remote working project.
some previous experience in a global mobility capacity including expatriate and relocation program management.
Expatriate tax experience in a professional services firm along with in-house Global Mobility experience. This should include a working knowledge of creating cost estimates and assignment letters.
Good working knowledge of immigration, tax and social security complexities
Experience of assignee case management/ and relocation issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and ability to handle sensitive situations/documentation.
Proven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas
Strong cross-cultural awareness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Solid knowledge and experience of Assignment Pro and Workday technology
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Comfortable working with assignments/relocations to locations that may not have established processes or have had previous assignments into.
Ability to work in a fast-changing environment which can often result in having to manage conflicting priorities
Strong team player, with a can-do pro-active attitude and ability to work effectively with remote teams
