AECOM's Ireland Project Management business unit continues to grow to service both Public and Private sector clients where we have successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and some of the largest projects and programmes in the industry.
As a direct result of this growth we are seeking a full time Senior Project Manager to be a key member of the Cork project management team in order to continue to build and develop on recent successes and growth.
The Senior Project Manager will be expected to
work with other member of the project management team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.
Act as the key day to day client interface ensuring that client objectives are met.
Lead significant project management commissions taking overall responsibility for their successful delivery
Liaise directly with clients, lead project commissions, oversee project management team members with their duties
Have a passion for first class service deliver, implementing best practice and continuous improvement and promoting AECOM externally.
Build on our portfolio of major blue chip clients and high profile projects
Contribute to the overall operational running of the AECOM project management team in Cork
Be specifically responsible for delegated business development / marketing objectives
Provide effective line management to PM’s and APM’s
10 years proven, relevant industry experience
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects.
Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion.
Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or with a client organisation.
Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.
Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members and clients, and effectively balance people and processes.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team
Enthusiastic self-starter looking to progress their career
Professional Qualification – ideally Project Management / Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying related honours degree or Masters
Chartered Status with RICS / CIOB / RIBA / EI or other equivalent institution (or in the process if pursuing same)
