Job Summary
Our Ireland Project Management business unit continues to grow to service the Commercial & Public Sector markets where it has successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and some of the largest projects and programs in the region. As a direct result if this growth it is currently seeking a full time Senior Project Manager with the following requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager will be expected to work with an Associate or Project Director to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects.
The role would cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception and business case development, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase.
A Senior PM should possess the skills and experience to lead and manage a team on a technically complex project, and for developing collaborative relationships with our clients and other team members.
Day to day main client point of contact for projects.
Manage design teams and project teams.
Manage and mentor junior project managers to deliver the PM service efficiently and effectively.
Successful delivery of projects with minimum supervision leading to happy clients and repeat business.
Manages one or more very complex project, involving a combination of the following:
Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,
Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,
Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
Manages other Project Managers.
Minimum Requirements
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
Strong experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Commercial sector
Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion
Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or with a client organisation.
Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes
Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes
Previous experience of managing internal resources, including the training and mentoring of more junior staff members
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Degree
Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution
APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
Good Understanding of contracts (RIAI, GCCC, etc…)
