If so, we are looking for a Project Level Cost Manager with 1-2 years experience to join our team in Cork. You will be joining a team of cost management experts that have a passion for client service and playing our part in delivering cutting edge property solutions.

The Cost management team sits in the wider Buildings and Places team.

We work on multiple large projects simultaneously and have a number of large upcoming projects in the region which are programmed to be delivered in the next five years.

About Our Team:
The Cork cost management team is embedded within the wider AECOM cost management (QS) team. We are dedicated to and specialise in providing cost management and quantity surveying services for a wide range of public and private sector clients. The projects we are engaged in are typical across the health, education, commercial and residential sectors, at all stages of the project cycle and involve developing and managing total project budgets.
This role involves a cost management position on the team. The role primarily involves a combination of normal project quantity surveyor/cost manager tasks at all project stages including pre-contract cost planning and bills of quantities production, and post-contract interim recommendations and variation account valuation and agreement. In addition, there will be opportunities to work on other specialist tasks including technical due diligence on proposed developments in both the public and private sectors.
Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management or appropriate conversion course
Previous experience in a consulting or contracting environment providing/undertaking Cost Management services
Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
Drive to learn and contribute in a positive and engaging manner.
Ability to work as part of a team to deliver collective tasks and also to work under own initiative where appropriate.
Enrolled with the SCSI / RICS and on the pathway to becoming Chartered Quantity Surveyor This is not a minimum requirement as long as your academic qualifications enable you to enrol.
A clear work history in a similar role or internship experience
Experience in preparing cost estimates/cost plans and Bills of Quantities, preferably using Cost X software
Experience of the project team and design team liaison
