Job Summary

Our Ireland Infrastructure Programme, Project and Cost Management team continues to grow, with a specific growth demand within the Water sector. As a direct result of this growth, we are currently seeking a full time Programme, Project & Cost Specialist to support our business growth. The position is for our Dublin office but our alternative offices of Galway, Cork and Belfast will be considered.

You will be part of an exciting team supporting us to successfully manage and deliver various capital projects across Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the wider global AECOM.

The ideal candidate will provide leadership, organization and coordination to support Programme, Project and Cost Management key activities on Water sector projects including;

  • People Management

  • Business Analysis, Programme, Project & Cost Management

  • Governance, Best Practice and Standard Approaches

  • Project management of complex infrastructure schemes through the whole project lifecycle

  • Communication and information management

  • Management of the technical aspects of design, procurement, implementation and close-out in accordance with the programme

  • Co-ordination of all relevant parties of the project from inception to closeout

  • Assist clients in defining project requirements

  • Procurement and contract management

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Establishing effective processes and systems to be utilized throughout projects.

  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports

  • Liaising with the client, contractors and designers

  • The successful applicant will be the day to day face of some of our largest Infrastructure projects in the Water sector.

  • The ability to present to clients and at industry specific and client forums are important attributes.

Capabilities :

  • A proven track record in project management within the Infrastructure sector.

  • Experience in managing NEC3/4 forms of contract

  • The ability and experience to establish, build and manage a Program & Project Management team on large Infrastructure projects.

  • Have excellent business development experience and skills.

  • Having Project Management experience with a consultancy would be an advantage as would Water Sector experience.

  • Be articulate and confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.

  • As a practice line leader, you will have proven business development skills and a network

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification or relevant experience, ideally civil engineering

  • Professional membership of Engineers Ireland or other relevant professional bodies

  • Post graduate qualifications in project management, construction management or engineering would be an advantage
