Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Engineer for employment in the Conshohocken, PA office. Candidate will be a key member of the Building Evaluation and Consulting Practice where we perform general assessments of a variety of large and/or complex facilities. We are looking for someone with an interest in building evaluations, technical writing, asset management and new technologies for asset management. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform whole building assessments of facilities

  • Independently conduct inspections

  • Compile and complete reports

  • Support manager with deputy project management tasks such as document control, scheduling meetings with clients, preparing data for proposals, etc.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical and review reports

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Reliable transportation for work in both Conshohocken and Philadelphia offices

  • Ability and willingness to travel out of state for several days at a time

  • Ability to access all areas of a facility, including roofs

  • Self-starter with leadership skills and a willingness to learn new skills and technology

  • Ability to work independently

  • Must be able to represent the company in front of clients

  • Must have knowledge and familiarity of relevant software packages for analysis and design such as AUTOCAD and REVIT

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with property assessments

  • Familiarity with asset management approaches and software

  • Experience with building systems assessments, energy modeling, energy audits, sustainability, etc.
