The Columbia, SC office of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Lead Environmental Highway NEPA and Planning Manager for immediate employment. The appropriate candidate can reside in based in Columbia or Greenville, South Carolina. The appropriately qualified applicant will:
Conduct and manage various types of studies including transportation planning, environmental planning, permitting, mitigation, environmental compliance inspections and NEPA documentation for roadways, aviation, transit systems, toll roads, bicycle/pedestrian facilities, and utility siting studies for local, state, federal, and private clients in South Carolina.
Manage multi-disciplinary projects based on knowledge of environmental permitting processes including but not limited to NEPA, wetland/waterway permitting, Section 106, Section 4(f), and the Endangered Species Act.
Work closely with other AECOM offices to grow the Highway NEPA and Planning practice in South Carolina.
Serve as a task manager on various projects involving the preparation of CEs, EIS/RODs, EA/FONSIs, permitting, and compliance monitoring.

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Ecology, Biology or related field
4 plus years of environmental planning experience or demonstrated equivalency
Experience preparing NEPA, wetland/waterway permitting, Section 106, Section 4(f) and the end documents and permit applications
Technical/Scientific writing skills
Ability to lead environmental planning projects and understanding client requirements and needs
Knowledge of Federal and SCDOT environmental regulatory
MS Degree in Environmental, Ecology, Biology or related field
