AECOM Geologist I in Colorado, Colorado
Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking an Entry Level Geologist for employment within the West Region Dams and Reservoirs team in the Denver, CO office to support geotechnical and civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in geotechnical field data collection including drilling, soil logging, and well installation. In addition, the candidate will have some experience in data management and basic technical report production. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Conduct geotechnical field work, including drilling, soil logging, well installation, and development of utility clearance for intrusive operations
Perform geologic field reconnaissance and mapping for identification of geologic hazards and site characterization
Provide interpretation of site conditions, including geologic and geophysical data
Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation
Support office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation
Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance
Develop geologic models for complex geologic site conditions
Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Soil Science + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations for projects
Willingness to work in the field conducting physically rigorous field geologic data collection in a variety of extreme terrain and weather conditions
Must have excellent communication and writing skills
This is an exempt position. Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $47,490-83108
