Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the electrical design of power, lighting, fire alarm and low voltage systems for K-12 schools and higher education facilities

  • Performing assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities

  • Exercising judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives

  • Preparing engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

  • Working under supervision of a project manager or senior level team member

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 5+ years of consulting engineering experience, project management experience a plus.

  • Relevant experience in electrical design and the preparation of construction documents for higher education, pre-kindergarten, and K-12 schools

  • Willing and able to interpret and implement client standards into code compliant designs.

  • Willing and able to survey and evaluate existing conditions in order to formulate a fully coordinated scope of work within code compliant electrical designs

  • Knowledge of and experience with high performance and sustainable building practices

  • Capable of using spreadsheets, word processing and standard office software

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD and Revit)

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel 15%-20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Revit experience

  • LEED accredited

  • Professional Engineer License
