The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water/Wastewater Project Manager for immediate employment in our Columbus, Ohio office. The qualified candidate should have in-depth experience in the analysis and design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, and conveyance, as well as experience in project management and client relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to focus on client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of developing engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities to expand AECOM’s Ohio area business. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and storm water design projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Technical oversight of design staff and team members for water and wastewater infrastructure projects including water pipelines, sewage collection systems, storm drain systems, pump stations, storage tanks, etc.
Managing projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing and final closeout, and monitoring for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives. .
Working with senior members of our Water Business Line team to seek new municipal business opportunities
Coordinating and participating in project presentations to clients and other external groups to promote the firm's technical capabilities
Participating in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of firm's qualification/experience statements.
Coordinating and participating in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors
Supervising and mentoring junior staff
Communicating project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required.
Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives
BA/BS plus eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PE license in the state of Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
10+ years of related experience
Experience working on municipal projects
Experience and familiarity with the following programs is preferred: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCAD
Experience working with local clients in the Ohio region is a plus.
Proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.
