Job Summary
Our reputation for quality work, technical expertise and client focus has resulted in increasing demand for a self-motivated candidate to work within our established GRS team. Working within this collaborative national team, you will assist with planning, organising, executing and reporting on contaminated site investigations for projects of varying size and complexity.
With an uncompromising commitment to health and safety, client service and technical excellence, you will be an intermediate level environmental engineer or scientist, at ease preparing reports, participating in field work, liaising with subcontractors, communicating with clients, preparing tenders and promoting innovative solutions for your clients. Day to day, you will be working on:
Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations
Site Validation Reports
Waste Classifications
Site supervision and contractor management
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or earth science
Proven experience in a consultancy, council, or similar environment
Technically strong in preliminary and detailed site investigations for soil, vapour and groundwater
Sound written and communication skills
Attention for detailed analysis
Demonstrated problem solving abilities
Good time management skills
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, be adaptable and flexible, and contribute individually and within a team environment to the success of our projects
Willingness to undertake fieldwork in both the cities and rural locations across New Zealand
For more experienced candidates, detailed technical understanding of current legislation and guidelines, and their practical application
Valid full drivers’ licence
