Job Description

The Opportunity

Put your innovative thinking and technical skills into high gear.

As our CAD Manager, you will be an integral part of the strategic decisions in the delivery of our work across the Civil Infrastructure (Rail, Highways, Water, Aviation) business.

You will also work with peers from around the world to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our digital delivery systems and processes, and be provided with the opportunity to upskill in the digital engineering delivery space.

Qualifications

About You

We are looking for an individual who has demonstrated leadership in CAD management, who is able take a proactive approach to the administration of CAD standards, understand the needs of design teams and coordinate delivery appropriately. You will be able to self-manage and apply a flexible approach to meeting client needs undertaking CAD work when capacity allows and/or needs to be done at short notice.

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years relevant experience with a tertiary qualification in engineering, design or a related field

  • Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery requirements of complex projects (including project resources, CAD standards, quality assurance and coordination with offshore design centres)

  • Strong Leader with excellent interpersonal skills, who is able to work with and support staff

  • Understanding of digital workflows with proficiency in AutoCAD

  • Client focused (both internal and external clients).

Desirable Technical Experience

  • Knowledge of current Digital Engineering software solutions (with a focus on Civil Infrastructure design) such as Civil 3D, 12D, Navisworks, ArcGIS and OpenRoads.

  • Knowledge of collaboration platforms such as ProjectWise, BIM 360 Docs, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto

  • Understanding of BIM processes that align with the NZ BIM Handbook and ISO 19650

  • Knowledge of integration between Asset Management Systems, BIM, and GIS.
