AECOM Talent Advisor - Buildings + Places Business Line in Chicago, Illinois

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Talent Advisor to join our Talent Acquisition team. The Talent Advisor will be a Subject Matter Expert for our Buildings + Places business. Reporting to a Talent Acquisition Sr. Manager, you will be responsible to manage senior level openings from the initial planning and research, including market intelligence and insights, to developing search strategies and determining timelines based on search complexity, to candidate identification, assessment, development and presentation, all while providing a “white-glove” approach. You will also serve as a subject matter expert for the Buildings + Places for other recruiters on the team to ensure they are aware of industry trends, recent AECOM wins, bids and proposals and recent hires in the business line.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment including creating search strategies, actively sourcing candidates, pre-screening, interviewing and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, negotiating offers and facilitating the hiring and on-boarding processes for senior level hires in the business line.

  • Advise hiring managers on all aspects of the hiring process, including hiring strategies, recruitment cycle timing, coaching and guidance on best practices and sourcing trends

  • Develop and maintain market specific intelligence relevant to AECOM and talent needs that include maintaining a network of diverse industry contacts and partnering closely with strategic diversity initiatives

  • Responsible for developing, recommending and executing recruitment strategy with decision makers to ensure a successful candidate search within the identified time frames

  • Use proactive methods to network with industry experts and professional industry related associations, in order to build ongoing passive candidate networks

  • Build relationships and communicate consistently and proactively throughout the recruitment process to ensure all participants in the hiring process are updated and well informed

  • Create a positive candidate experience (for both the selected and non-selected candidates) throughout the entire recruiting process

  • Research and develop company target lists and identify potential candidates and sources

  • This role can be located in any AECOM office.

Minimum Requirements

  • 6+ years of recruiting experience in a consulting engineering firm focused on identifying, assessing, attracting and hiring top flight senior or executive talent who are in high demand

  • Knowledge of the Architectural, Planning & Engineering and Construction space

  • Ability to cultivate relationships through collaborative engagements with executives, peers, vendors and candidates

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, including professional representation and on target advice to stakeholders

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Strong computer and analytical skills; proficient with Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • In depth Knowledge of the architectural market

  • Ability to cultivate relationships through collaborative engagements with executives, peers, vendors and candidates

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, including professional representation and on target advice to stakeholders

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Strong computer and analytical skills; proficient with Excel

  • Experience with Kenexa BrassRing, Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter
