Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a project manager to join the Smart Energy team in the Chicago, IL office. This team works on a variety of smart city, resilience, and sustainability related initiatives for municipal, utility, and private clients as well as managing project execution as Owner’s representative for local Utility companies. The PM will work closely with senior team members within the Smart Energy Team.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Budget and schedule management, oversight of project financials, and overseeing engineering designs

  • Expected to synthesize concepts into written and visual reports for both non-technical and technical audiences

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited four year college or university

  • 5+ years of Electrical Utility Project Management/Construction Experience

  • Professional Engineer

  • Proficiently MS Products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering degree

  • Energy Efficiency and Smart Energy technologies

  • PMP Certification

  • PE in Illinois

Additional:

  • Qualified candidates who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

  • Relocation and per diem support are not available for this position.
