Job Summary

AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Chicago office.

In this position you will provide technical support on challenging projects that may include civil design, hydraulic modeling and design, report writing, permitting, technical studies, field support and construction management. Our office provides solutions to our Clients in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, including planning, pipelines, pump stations, storage and treatment facilities. As an industry leader and global company, our staff has the opportunity to participate on high profile projects, learn from national experts, and explore other business lines such as Energy, Environment and Transportation.

Preferences are for some experience utilizing AutoCAD or Microstation platforms, and/or hydraulic modeling applications.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college

0 - 2 years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

Course work or experience with focus on water and wastewater engineering is a plus

Internship and/or Co-op experience in related field is desired

Efficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D design software is desired

Registered EIT is preferred

Knowledge of GIS

Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams

Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must be analytical with attention to detail, able to multi-task, and well organized
