AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Pavement Engineer to be based in Chelmsford, MA, or Chicago, IL.
This position is expected to begin in September 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Perform assigned tasks on projects as directed by the task manager.
Assist in transportation highway pavement and asset data analysis
Perform basic pavement engineering report writing.
Utilize pavement design software, including MicroPaver and related pavement management software.
Utilize AutoCAD, and/or ArcGIS.
Perform Pavement Condition Index surveys in accordance with ASTM standards.
Develop basic plans, specifications, and cost estimates for pavement design projects, under the guidance of a registered engineer.
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering with a specific focus in Pavement Engineering.
As a minimum, it is required that the candidate has an Engineer – in – Training (EIT) certification, but the appointment is contingent on being eligible to obtain his/her Professional Engineering (PE) License within a reasonable time period of joining AECOM.
Ability to obtain Department of Defense security clearance.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Prior internship experience (preferably in the field of pavement design or geotechnical engineering).
Working knowledge of basic data analysis tools such as Excel (including lookups, pivot tables, VBA macros) and PowerPoint.
Some knowledge, or able to obtain some proficiency using AutoCAD, and ArcGIS
Will be required to gain familiarity with pavement standards such as ASTM Standard, AASHTO 93 Design guide, and/or related pavement engineering standards.
Willingness to travel 25%.
