Job Summary
Our UK&I highways teams have vacancies for experienced Project Controls Leads.
The team is highly successful and our workload is growing, providing opportunities to be involved in the management of a number of major highways schemes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reporting to our PMO Manager, the principal function of the role is to lead the monitoring of budgets, schedule/progress, earned value and cash flow.
Typical responsibilities include:
Ensure accurate project control data is provided to Project Managers to advise on project status.
Coordinate and produce key deliverables of the regular reporting cycle including weekly/monthly spend monitoring and variance explanations
Lead budget management and cost control, including liaison with sub-teams to update/prepare the Estimates to Complete.
Tracking and analysing project progress including the assessment of earned value (BCWP, BCWS, and ACWP).
Data analysis and preparation of briefings, dashboards, status reports and progress reports using digital tools.
Support the identification, development and management of change controls providing scope, cost, and schedule data related to baseline change;
Mentor and support junior staff in the team
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant qualification or degree
Candidates should also be able to demonstrate:
Experience of project controls, cost monitoring and earned value management.
Experience of managing other staff in a project controls environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Knowledge of quality assurance processes
Preferred Qualifications
APM or equivalent professional qualification (or demonstrably working towards)
Experience of delivery of PMO best practice in a consulting environment on infrastructure projects
Knowledge of lean management practices.
Use of PowerBI or equivalent platform for data management
