Position Title Project Coordinator
India - Tamil Nadu
AECOM India is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Coordinator for one of the metro project in South India.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates multi-disciplinary design teams in completion of project work from inception to construction completion
Assists Project Manager in preparation of correspondence, reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutes
Communicates with clients, agencies and project stakeholders
Assists Project Manager in complying with and overseeing execution of company procedures in accordance with the AECOM Project Delivery System.
Assists Project Manager in engaging and managing work of sub-consultants
Assists with the development of project schedules and work breakdown structures
Co-ordinates development of work plans and task sheets against project scope and schedule
Anticipates problems and proactively consults with others to identify the cause and remedies before they inhibit project success
Resolves controversies (i.e., conflicts with sub consultants, staffing issues with department mangers due to work flow priorities)
Compiles project submissions, issues to client for review and manages client design feedback processes
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 20+ year’s of work experience.
Prior experience in leading design and/or multi disciplinary teams.
Prior experience in Metro/ Rail projects MUST.
International projects experience MUST.
Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
Experienced in working with mass transit design projects from inception to construction
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Strategic, analytical, and practical thinker
Familiar with design/construction of facilities, and associated systems (HVAC, electrical)
Knowledge of project management principles and practices
Demonstrated ability to coordinate the work of multi-discipline technical teams, deal with complex issues and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to motivate and influence a diverse group of internal and external project stakeholders, must exercise tact and diplomacy when providing direction and support to others
