Position Title Lead Civil Engineer, Coastal Flood Mitigation

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Concept, preliminary and final design of natural and hardscape features to provide flood control
Coordinating with USACE, MassCZM and other state and federal agencies to gain consensus and approvals for work in jurisdictional areas and on designated facilities
Data collection and analyses
Coordination with technical disciplines including geotechnical, structural, civil, environmental among others
Management of schedule and budget
Oversight of junior staff on tasks and deliverables
Coordination with project engineers and clients to identify critical planning issues
Preparation and delivery of presentations
Assistance with business development opportunities
Coordination with project team members to deliver quality products to clients on schedule
Bachelor's degree in Engineering - in Civil or Coastal Engineering
5+ years’ experience working on coastal engineering projects including design
PE (EIT with pending PE considered)
Familiarity with USACE design requirements
Experience working with communities in providing resiliency, particularly in water, transportation, energy and transportation areas.
Knowledge of CAD, GIS applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client and agency presentations and written report preparation
Ability to work with a team of variety of technical disciplines
Ability to monitor budget and schedule for all tasks
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
- Master’s degree preferred
