Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Specialist I at our Chattanooga, TN location.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Assists in analyzing and using schedule data to identify key project issues. Proactively communicates findings with managers and field supervisors to help keep project on track.

  • Able to develop CPM schedule logic. Extensive, demonstrated familiarity with the cornerstone scheduling system (Primavera P6) and ability to develop logic for elements of the engineering, procurement and construction process including resource loading of major resources and cash flow.

  • Able to identify and assist in analysis of project schedule variances.

  • Collects and updates the project schedule and produces scheduling reports for management.

  • Able to use drawings and specifications for schedule development.

  • Familiar with construction contracting and the scheduling implications of contract terms.

  • Assists in tracking and reporting self-performed and subcontractor performance.

  • Knowledgeable of scope control and change management and associated implications to project scheduling.

  • Knowledgeable in earned value methodology.

  • Responsible for gathering and assembling data for schedule updating.

  • Measures progress and reviews schedule performance.

  • Supports monthly report and pay application preparation.

  • Assists with creating and maintaining the baseline schedules.

  • Supports project needs through cross training with cost management and other project areas to get the job done.

  • Participates in planning and scheduling meetings internally and with the Client to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues.

  • Supports project schedule reporting in RMS 3.0 CM.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines

  • Candidates must be able to pass USACE-Nashville Category B1 Security Requirements. Information on these requirements can be found at:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.

Experience:

  • 4 years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction projects or operating industrial facilities in a planning and scheduling position.

  • Proficiency in Primavera (P6) software

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience as project scheduler on large construction projects.
