Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Lead Task Manager to work in Kincardine, Ontario for a long term assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a lead role at the largest nuclear generating station in the world. The position is a US based position; however, the successful candidates must be willing and able to work in Kincardine, Canada full-time. Per diem and trips home are available.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:


  • Directly responsible for Safety, and Security components of the project.

  • Enforce SGRT employee adherence to the all plant Security Program.

  • Enforce the effective implementation of the SGRT Industrial Safety Program.

  • Effect / Maintain positive changes and trends in Industrial and Radiological Safety incidents.


  • Enforce the effective implementation of the SGRT Quality Program.


  • Authority to approve Subcontract Additional Work to an established level.

  • Enforce adherence to the project cost.

  • Signature authorization for Procurement up to an established level.

  • Establish and monitor Craft Curves.

  • Equipment Budget Controls.

Perform daily review of all field activities to ensure adherence to cost and schedule commitments.


  • Ensure that the schedule, work packages, man-loading and other control documents are accurate and realistic.

  • Manage resources to support the scheduled activities.

  • Monitor schedule compliance / variances.

  • Equipment Test Schedules.


  • Provide resource curves to the In-Processing and Training Plan.

  • Maintain a shift turnover log.

  • Report all scope and/or schedule changes.


  • Coordinate integration of Support and Construction organizations.

  • Provide direction for all construction, engineering, procurement, and supervisory personnel.

  • Ensure that critical project communications processes occur between task managers, project sub-contractors and vendors.

  • Establish pre-job briefings and daily turnovers to ensure that the SGRT and plant Industrial and Radiological Safety Program, the SGRT Quality program and the applicable portions of the plant Quality Program, and all plant Security Program requirements are being properly addressed.

  • Ensure that critical project communications/interface processes occur between General Superintendents, and other SGRT personnel as appropriate.

  • Immediately notify the Project Manager when an activity with less than 48 hours float will have a changed start, duration or completion time. The 30-minute rule applies.


  • Promote Project Priorities – Safety, Quality, ALARA, and Schedule.

  • Responsible for construction staffing plans, personnel requisitioning, assignment, role definition, and termination.

  • Responsible to ensure containment preparation is accomplished in accordance with the applicable work packages.

  • Support all field operations, including subcontracts and direct hire craft.

  • Support General Superintendents in coordinating and performing all project work.

Minimum Requirements

Education :

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

Experience :

  • 8 years experience in field construction supervision including 2 years experience in the Assistant General Superintendent position or demonstrated equivalent.

  • Must have previous nuclear power plant steam generator replacement project experience

Level Specific Responsibilities :

  • ​Under limited direction, has responsibility for all construction activities on a project.

  • Reports to the Site Manager and is thoroughly knowledgeable and fully accountable with considerable latitude in decision making. Interprets, organizes and coordinates work assignments.
