AECOM Senior Stormwater Engineer/ Project Manager in Chantilly, Virginia

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior Stormwater Engineer/Project Manager, for immediate employment in the Chantilly, VA office. This position provides the opportunity for growth, project and staff management, and a wealth of technical support.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
10+ years of engineering and design experience focused on study, analysis and design, and construction documentation for large projects with stormwater management
Proficient in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, modeling, and drainage design
Registration as a Professional Engineer - preferably in Virginia
The successful candidate will have prior experience with project management, technical leadership on projects and client interaction.
Strong writing abilities and experience with preparation of proposals and costing projects
Experience performing site selection stormwater and watershed planning studies, constructability analysis, and engineering layouts for dredging, stormwater management design, ecological restoration and dam projects
Experience acquiring regulatory approvals - preferably in Virginia and other mid-Atlantic states
Experienced using current engineering design and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, EPA SWMM,
HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcMap, MS Excel and other advanced modeling software
Ability to Mentor staff through project team creation and project execution
Perform independent technical reviews of engineering reports and designs
Master’s degree in Science/Engineering
Experience with MS4 Program support and compliance
Project Management and client management experience
Marketing and business development experience
