Position Title Custodial Worker - Day Shift

AECOM is looking for
Under general supervision, to clean and maintain, in an orderly condition, the designated areas in office buildings and related work and storage areas. Successful completion of the duties of this position contributes to the attractiveness, safety and functionality of the facility
Must have an active Federal Clearance in order to be considered
Full Time Fixed Weekday Day Shift 9am-4:30pm
Custodians perform the following duties:
Keep commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition
Operate floor cleaning and other cleaning equipment
Sweep, mop, clean and/or scrub hallways, walls, passenger elevators, glass, fixtures and stairs
Dust woodwork and furniture
Maintain and re-supply restrooms
Perform restroom checks
Empty trash and garbage containers and deliver collected refuse to the loading dock,
Shampoo carpets, strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Clean and sweep shop areas,
Clean snow and debris from building entrances,
Monitor building for maintenance/safety/security issues and report any violations to immediate Supervisor or Management.
Adhere to safety practices and procedures,
Perform other job-related duties as required.
Must possess an active Federal Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Employee must have two years custodial experience in performance of similar duties as described with working knowledge of equipment and materials required to complete assignment.
High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
One must be physically capable of:
Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking,
Working inside and outside, in inclement weather; and on wet, icy and slippery surfaces,
Using a ladder or lift and work on structures or equipment above ground level,
Working in cramped or uncomfortable places and positions, pushes/pulls/lifts heavy equipment/supplies/parts.
Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
