Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Associate BIM Manager to be based anywhere AECOM has an office within the West Region. This position will be supporting a team based in the Pacific Time Zone.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
Driving and implementing BIM and Digital interventions across large complex Infrastructure projects using BIM collaboration, coordination, and visualization tools. Adherence to Company or Client standards and component library reuse with automation implementation tools to support efficient project deliver and quality.
This position will be heavily focused on the detailed technical process mechanical design and drawings for new construction and renovations to existing water treatment facilities, water booster pump stations, wastewater pump stations, and wastewater treatment facilities.
Working under the limited general supervision of project leaders, will perform advanced technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, digital tools and hardware with responsibilities including:
BIM / CAD Implementation of Information Management systems using Autodesk and Bentley BIM platforms.
Authoring and Supervising BIM Execution plans at pre-contract stage; post contract for design, and construction as-built operations, as per ISO 19650.
Authoring workflows and standard processes to implement scalable solutions across a geographic and global team.
Emphasis on data driven design.
Specialized in implementing Common Data Environments: Autodesk BIM 360/ACC and Bentley ProjectWise
Strong software background in Revit, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Dynamo, Rushforth, Civil3D
Visual rendering output using Infraworks, Enscape or other tools
Generate and implementation of Revit models at all phases of the projects, using both company or client standards and developing new templates when required
Day to day management of the digital models
Exchanging project data with multiple consultants through local and virtual servers
Generating 3D federated models for clash detection, generating reports to demonstrate coordination progress and clash mitigation
Understanding and proactively implementing the required LOD, and CoBie/CMMS data at each of the project stages, as per project-specific requirements
Developing periodic training sessions for the design team and other stakeholders
Creating, enforcing, updating, and implementing project-specific and practice-wide BIM standards and execution manuals, including both internal and external management of design teams
Work closely with the design team reporting requirements and agreements from BIM Coordination meetings
Revit rfa family parametric modeling
CADD project coordination and verification reviews
Mentoring other CAD production staff
Training and supervising workflow and seminars
Updating internal protocols within the organization
Generating and Understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams
Strong understanding of wastewater equipment
Proficient with structural modeling and design
Asset Management ISO 55000
Digital Twins, Bentley Itwin, Autodesk Tandem, Invicara, EcoDomus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or eight (8) years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Experience:
Fifteen (15) + years of relevant experience
Twelve (12) + years of Revit experience in large scale/complex multidisciplinary projects
High Quality Modelling, documentation, and Collaboration experience in water/wastewater projects
This role requires experience in water and wastewater practice including emphasis on Process Mechanical and Structures
The individual should have excellent leadership and communication skills
Excellent demonstrable Revit ability on large scale/complex multidisciplinary projects
As well as BIM manager duties, the individual would also be expected to work as a production designer and contributor to AECOM Digital innovations team
