JW Williams Inc., an AECOM company, is seeking a Combination Welder for immediate employment to be based in our Casper, Wyoming fabrication facility.
The JW Williams Shop lays out, fits, and fabricates products such as heaters, reboilers, glycol coolers, liquid accumulators and natural draft combustors, separators, piping large and heavy wall vessels and flow coils.
Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:
Attention to detail and ability to make clean lines and cuts when welding
Read and interpret blueprints; understand how the final product should look
Identify flaws in welds or structural imperfections in the metal
Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of metals used for cutting, welding, and forming objects and of various welding fluxes and rods.
Knowledge of safety precautions related to occupational hazards, procedures, and practices of the trade.
Skilled in identifying the proper power and hand tools in the safest possible manner and various equipment.

3 years of ASME code pressure vessel welding experience.
Able to clear an ASME & AWS weld test on pipe using 4 or more welding processes, (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW).
Ability to clear a 6G process using GMAW/FCAW, GTAW.
Demonstrate welding ability and knowledge by performing utilizing four welding processes.
Must be able to read and use a tape measure and other fitting tools.
Ability to work the day shift, from 6am - 3pm (8 ) hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekday overtime and/or Saturdays, up to 8 hours as needed.
Technical training preferred but not required.
Above average Mathematics Skills.
Professional Knowledge of welding symbols, fitting and blueprint reading skills.
Ability to work with complicated welding tools like ox-fuel, mag-drills, welding manipulators, general fabrication equipment, etc. Proficient with torches and plasmas.
Able to maintain a minimum of 95% acceptability in NDE test of welds
Can be the first inspector of all welds performed.
Willing and able to mentor less experienced welders
Previous AECOM or AECOM Legacy Company experience
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
