AECOM Radiological Controls Supervisor in Carlsbad, New Mexico

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a
Radiological Controls Supervisor to be based in our Carlsbad, New Mexico location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day implementation of the WIPP Radiological Control Program and Conduct of Operations in all aspects of routine, abnormal, and emergency response work. The successful candidate will provide work assignments for Radiological Control Technicians. The candidate will ensure that radiological support for WIPP operations are conducted in accordance with the approved procedures implementing ALARA principles and compliance with 10 CFR 835. Also responsible for ensuring the completion of surveys, posting and controlling radiological hazards, radioactive source control, routine air monitoring, and other duties as assigned by the RC&D Manager. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work independently, with limited direction and guidance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field, or
Associate’s Degree in Science or related field with four (4) years of experience, or
High School Diploma or GED with eight (8) years of related experience. (Equivalent experience and education in accordance with Management Policy 4.7).
Experience as a DOE qualified Radiological Control Technician.
Must have an “L” or “Q” clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.
Two (2) years of experience as a qualified Radiological Controls Supervisor.
Six (6) years as a qualified Radiological Controls Technician.
Previous WIPP experience is a plus.
