AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Electrical Safety Professional in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will perform detailed work, analyze findings, prepare reports, and make recommendations. Accurately interpret, apply and explain applicable codes, laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Understand and follow departmental policies. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E), OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910 and 29 CFR Part 1926 and MSHA 30 CFR Part 57. Serve as a consultant to Site Operations for the purpose of achieving full compliance with applicable federal, state and DOE requirements pertaining to Electrical Safety. Conduct frequent inspections of site facilities and job performance to ensure compliance with requirements and safety of personnel. Conduct reviews of site procedures and work instructions to ensure hazards are appropriately defined and mitigated.
Bachelors of Science degree plus two (2) years of related electrical experience, or
Associate degree plus six (6) years of related electrical experience, or
High School Diploma or GED plus ten (10) years of related electrical experience is required.
Must have the fundamental knowledge of planning and control principles and techniques.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.
Preference given to substantial experience (six (6) years or more) in the electrical trade such as electrical inspector, journeyman electrician, master electrician, facility electrical engineer, or electrical contractor.
Previous WIPP experience preferred.
