URS has an opening for an Electronics Technician Maintenance III - Inspector (LCES/M1Abrams)
The LCES Inspector is responsible for inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting of a variety of electronic systems to include but not limited to, TOW, LRAS, CLU, lasers, thermal sights, night vision devices, Line Replacement Units for tracked equipment, fire control system and operation of Direct Support Electrical Test System (DSETS).
Performs all phases of technical inspections to include; initial inspections to determine nature and extent of repairs that may be required, in progress inspections to verify maintenance actions at critical inspection points, and final inspections to ensure that equipment has been maintained/ repaired to the appropriate standards. All inspections are performed in accordance with U.S. applicable Army Technical Publications.
Identifies all equipment faults (deficiencies/short comings) and records on the maintenance and inspection work sheet to include listing of required repair parts/materials, and labor hours required to correct deficiencies.
May be required to diagnose and troubleshoot communications and electronic equipment as needed to support complex maintenance actions, and determine remedies to commonly encountered equipment failures using diagnostic techniques and TMDE.
Prepares inspection and test records associated with the technical inspection process.
Inspects work through the entire maintenance process to ensure use of proper use of tools, shop equipment, technical publications, and implementation of URS safety program requirements.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
This is a position with a physical rating of heavy.
Must have 5 years maintenance experience on communications equipment with a minimum of 2 years quality control inspection background.
Military maintenance/defense maintenance contracting experience preferred but not required. Civilian candidates 5 years' communications equipment and quality assurance/quality control, (QA/QC), technical experience are encouraged to apply.
Must be proficient In Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
Thorough knowledge of U.S. Army technical publications required.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance.
