AECOM is currently seeking a highly motivated and creative Project Manager for an opportunity based in the Middle East. The purpose of this project is to provide technical services including inspections, assessments, repairs, reports, and training for facilities and operations-related projects. Specifically, this project includes electrical inspection and repairs, fire prevention assessment and training, storage and management of government / contractor property, and construction and operations related inspections and assessments at various U.S. military and coalition occupied facilities.
This position will require deployment to countries within the U.S. military’s CENTCOM Area of Responsibility, including the TF SAFE operations center in Kuwait.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Serve as the AECOM Representative on-site to the client
Plan, direct, and supervise all aspects of the project, including technical, financial, and client satisfaction
Lead team comprised of Electrician, Fire Protection Personnel, SMEs and support staff
Providing technical expertise to team members and client, as required
Creating and presenting reports relevant to project assignments and as directed by the client including “dashboard” summary of progress, trend analysis, and projections
Tailor data and reporting to meet the needs for the Contracting Office
Representative (COR) and Office in Charge (OIC)
Lead, attend, and/or participate in client meetings, as required
Other duties as assigned
HS diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of related task and project management, including 3+ years of experience in electrical contract project management.
Experience in projects with electrical systems and/or fire protection systems.
Current and active Secret level security clearance.
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.
Must also complete and pass any required government security clearance.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Must participate in and successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment fitness for duty questionnaire.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including heat, dusts, and dryness; position requires often standing/walking; occasionally performing keyboard/mouse operations, working alone in isolated/remote areas and lifting less than 25 pounds; rarely working with arms above shoulder level, performing repetitive bending & stooping, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), operation of vehicles, working at heights, climbing stairs, using portable ladders, hearing fall protection, operation of heavy, moving or dangerous equipment, working in an environment of heavy, moving dangerous equipment, performing work on electrical circuits, performing repetitive fine hand movements, and lifting of 25 to more than 75 pounds. Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment including body armor vest and helmet.
Applicants shall meet CENTCOM MOD 13 Medical requirements.
Previous experience working overseas
Previous experience working with the U.S. military in Contingency area of operations.
Previous experience working it the US Army Corps of Engineers
Professional certification/ affiliations - PE, PMP, or MBA
