If so, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Cambridge to work on projects in the Education, Science, Health, Aviation, Defence, Flood protection, Leisure and Commercial sectors. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
AECOM Cambridge PM and CM teams play a critical role in the conceptualisation and creation of amazing spaces, delivering projects and buildings that define the Eastern region skylines and communities. We are part of the UK AECOM Buildings & Places with a headquarters in Aldgate, London.
We are friendly, busy and motivated with an established track record of successfully delivering East Anglian and London projects. Some of our flagship work in recent years include;
University of Cambridge’s new Civil Engineering Department; UoC’s Heart and Lung Institute; University of Bedfordshire’s new Library, Churchill College’s Cowan Court Student Residences, Addenbrookes Hospital COVID-19 projects; Stansted Airport Terminal Building Arrivals Extension, Luton and Dunstable Hospital, RAF Marham projects; Babraham Science Park Buildings; University College London Engineering Department Building to name but a few.
About Our Team:
We are a regional team of 20 plus professionally qualified Project Managers of all grades. We come from differing educational backgrounds, but all have a solid foundation in pre and post contract consultancy work. We have collaborative offices located in Girton, Cambridge. We work well as a group and respect the outputs that the team deliver
You will need to be from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to:
Individually, project manage successful construction projects, with minimal support
Guide and develop junior project management personnel on your projects
Secure client confidence in your delivery
Contribute to securing repeat Client work
Manage your own time effectively
Act as a positive team member within the service line
Contribute towards our strong reputation in the market
Knowledge and experience of two or three of the sectors noted above (including current issues and business drivers) and the local construction market.
Ability to present to a large group
Chairing and taking accurate notes of meetings
Pre and post contract design /project management expertise over the RIBA lifecycle
Excellent communication and organisational skills
JCT &/or NEC Contract Administration (Accreditation a positive)
Maintain accurate project records (both paper and electronic)
Robust Stakeholder Management process
Professional Qualification – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Master’s Degree
Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution
APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
Prince 2 or MSP experience is desirable but not essential
