If so, we are looking for a Project Management Project Director to join our team in Cambridge to work across various projects in the public and private sector. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

AECOM Buildings & Places is made up of dedicated teams delivering projects in Commercial, Sports, Defence, Education, Government and Healthcare.
We are friendly, busy, flexible and motivated with an established track record of successfully delivering regional/London and UK projects.
Our Cambridge Project Management Team:
A team of 12 Project Managers who deliver complex and exciting projects throughout the region and beyond, in a range of sectors.
The team forms part of the wider 24+ project management team in our Eastern region across our Cambridge, Norwich and Peterborough offices, which is, in turn, part of our 925-strong national UK&I Programme, Project & Cost Consultancy business unit.

University of Cambridge framework – an excess of £400m
Luton and Dunstable Hospital
Public Health England, Programme of Science Works
Various private schools – Theatres, Sports Centres, STEM centres
RAF Marham – F35 fighter project
Queen Mary University London – new build and refurbishments
University College London - – new build and refurbishments
Churchill College, Cambridge University
be the right-hand person to the Project Management Team Director, running and managing the team day-to-day.
be required to lead full multi-discipline commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery with the support of other Directors.
need to provide oversight / strategic guidance/audit & review of a portfolio of projects at any one time.
ensure commissions are managed to the highest quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
develop strong relationships with clients and members of cross-functional teams.
seek out and secure new work opportunities with new and existing clients and working alongside the Project Management Team Director to grow the portfolio in the Cambridge and Regional Offices.
oversee the team of Project Managers, assisting them with their projects as well as mentoring and developing their careers.
Relevant professional qualification (MRICS, MAPM, MICE etc)
Significant experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Excellent working knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts
Demonstrable ability to lead, mentor and grow a team
Demonstrable success in winning new work and growing client relationships
Demonstrable track record in successfully delivering complex projects
Willing to travel to London or across the Eastern region as needed to meet Client requirements
Proactive and team player
- Ideally you will live locally to the office or be willing to relocate
